Karen Schmidt is the Great, Great, Great, Great Grandaughter of Australian Colonial Explorer, Captain William Hilton Hovell. In November 2024 Karen retraced her ancestors steps through rural NSW and Victoria to commemorate the famous Hume and Hovell Expedition of 1824.
